Let your film settle. These are ALSET's care instructions for your new installation.
Wait two weeks after installation before your first wash. Follow any additional instructions your ALSET team gives you at pickup.
Once the two-week wait is over, keep every wash gentle. Skip automatic car washes and brush tunnels.
Leave edges and bubbles alone. Do not pick, press, puncture, or attempt a repair yourself.
If bird droppings, bugs, or other contamination appear during the no-wash period, ask your ALSET team how to remove them safely.
After your two-week wait, use a gentle hand-wash routine and products made for your film.
Use XPEL Foam Soap and a clean, soft microfiber wash mitt. Avoid abrasive pads and aggressive scrubbing.
Rinse thoroughly. Keep pressure washers and high-pressure water away from the edges of the film.
Use a clean microfiber towel to dry the surface. Avoid dragging a dirty towel across the finish.
Don't let stains settle in. Address bugs and other stains promptly with an appropriate XPEL film-care product. For matte, satin, or colored PPF, ask us which products suit your finish.
Some changes are part of settling in. Others are a reason to check in with us.
Small application bubbles can appear as the film settles. Most disappear within a few days to a few weeks. Leave them undisturbed and watch for improvement.
Contact ALSET if an edge lifts, bubbles grow, or an area is not improving. Send a clear photo and let our team review it before trying to fix it.
Get help from your team ↗XPEL PPF can self-heal minor surface scratches and swirls. It is not scratchproof: deeper scratches, cuts, and impact damage may need professional attention.
If you also received ceramic coating, follow your pickup instructions for both services. ALSET's two-week no-wash instruction still applies to your newly installed PPF.
ALSET's lifetime coverage refers to the product life expectancy determined by the manufacturer. Material warranty claims go to XPEL; installation warranty claims are handled by ALSET.
